look at this: dominic-kolb.de/bug.m4v

Would be nice to get this fixed in 3.72 :-)

I can not reproduce that behavior (with my settings! Check yours!) on 3.71

This prooves cockos are satanic, working on the holy day! (well depending on faith)

So is it a case now of showing you bugs and you guys fixing them all and then we move on to 4 alpha?

If so I'm going hunting!

Could you make the pasting of a relative time selection of items work for both items that reference beats timebase or just time. Will find link to bug report soon..

Oh wow – I need 1, 2 and 5 pretty much every day! (esp. before-#1 made me go crazy from time to time)

Wouldn't it be great to be able to select only a part of the audio file in the media explorer, and importthis selected part into the project without having to import the whole file.
I would use this a lot, it was standard practice in Cubase for me.

Best!

Yes pleaaaaase!!!! It's broken across timebases and is bit irritating!

I bumped a ton of bug reports in the bug report section...

Your dynamic split bug sounds like it should be a good FR. The dynamic split may get such an extension/overhaul/general improvement in the v4-alpha cycle. Sounds like a great candidate for that.

"Shift+click to select doesn't work properly with grouped items, relative trim broken"
Nice find. I too would expect anything I can do with one of the grouped items to translate to its other group members.

"Trimming items kills item fades"
100% unexpected behaviour, though it is probably a preference of some people. It is a way to kill fades, though with some not so great side effects. If it needs to be an option, please make the behaviour Adam shows as expected be the default. That is WAY more useful than the other way around, which is having to recreate fades. Deleting fades is easier.

"Autocrossfades not created when enabled and adjusting tempo"
Can only add my agreement to this. Crossfades are expected, as if the user was moving the items around.

"Hitting "undo" unarms toolbar buttons even when performing other actions after arming"
Don't use this a lot, but must agree that only the user should be disarming the toolbar, until of course the undo history actually gets to that point.

"Grid doesn't subdivide properly for x/8, x/16, etc. time signatures."
Buuuuuuug. Maybe one of the last obvious ones in v3.x ?

I completely agree that Adam's reported bugs should be fixed before v4.

RSI based Bump in the hope that one of these pre(s) will make it so the command "copy selected area of item(s)" gives relative pasting for both time based items and beat based items.

Please!

Default one more for the reaper 3 road..

if no track is selected when performing a paste then the pasted items should end up on the tracks they were copied from (but in the new time position).

At the moment they get pasted to the last selected track (even after unselecting it).

This is a big hassle for fast editing and would make a big difference since no other daw I know does it this way and must cause frustration for a few others too.

I love that we CAN select a different track for the pasted items to appear on but only if we have a track selected should this happen

thanks..

It's the mental equivalent of thumb screws, isn't it?

If you need me, I'll be practicing water boarding myself to the songs of Neil Sedaka.

P. S. Amnesty International is now calling for the release of Reaper 4.
