Default How do you record speaker output? without speakers?

I use PAVU. Pulse Audio Volume Control. I start an audio player...
hit record... then start PAVU and click on PAVU record menu. Very happy with it but I would like to hear what else is out there.

How do YOU record the PC audio speaker output? (what you normally hear on your PC speakers) anyone using the Russian 'audio recorder' or other method? thanks.

Hi S Wave,

I'm on Windows 10 and have just started using Audacity's Loopback function. See link below.

Instead of using WASAPI loopback I use "Line Out (Scarlett 2i2 USB) loopback".

Cheers

I use jackd timemachine for recording output from anything that
appears in qjackctl. Daws, vlc/smplayer (jackd plugins found
in synaptic) audacity, standalone apps like Yoshimi/Hydrogen/Guitarix.

I use Reaper with wasapi device, in shared-loopback mode
in win7, to record whatever is playing on a web browser.
Cheers

To record any Pulseaudio stream into a Jack client use the Pulseaudio Jack module. On Debian it's pretty simple just install the package pulseaudio-module-jack and reboot. Then you can route the Pulseaudio output with Qjackctl or Patchage to Reaper.
