Default Can a New Track load the default FX Chain but with the FX button disabled by default?

What I’m trying to do is set the default state for “Insert New Track”.

I want it to load the Default FX Chain so my preferred FX are all there and ready.
But I simply want the default state to have the FX (power) Button turned off on the new track. That way when I’m ready to listen with the FX all I have to do is click that one button.

Ah, getting warmer and thanks for the welcome!
That does retain that setting but then I see from other forum posts there's still no Preferences setting to specify a default track template.

I see I could create a keyboard shortcut to "Track: Insert track from template..." but then I need to manually select the Track Template each time.

So close...

Try custom action need SWS Extensions
------------------------------------------------------------
Track: Insert new track
Insert FX chain: Chain you made in FX Browser
SWS&S&M: Close all floting FX windows for selected tracks
SWS: Bypass FX on selected tracks
------------------------------------------------------------

FX brower on the left scroll down to FX Chains and right click on yours and "Create shortcut" and click cancel in the next window, then you find it in action list by searching for it. I have assigned shortcuts FX off/on to F1 off and F2 on. You can add whatever suites you best. "New track with FX Chain" action I have on Logo+N (Logo=Windows Key).

F1 looks like this:
Track: Set all FX offline for selected tracks
Xenakios/SWS: Bypass FX of selected tracks

F2 looks like this:
Track: Set all FX online for selected tracks
Xenakios/SWS: Unbypass FX of selected tracks

Hope that helps

That did it, thanks Tobbe!
And I like the idea of setting up keyboard shortcuts to the toggle the FX

Turns out now at least there’s a few Bypass FX actions included.

FYI for anyone else looking to do this I just created a new custom action with the following 2 actions:
Track: Insert new track
Track: Toggle FX bypass for current/last touched track
