32 Bit Only with MOTU 828Mk2?

I'm running Reaper with my 828 Mk2, but even if I set the project settings to record at 16 Bit, the info bar at the top right of the screen still says I'm running 32 bit. Anyone else found this, and how did you fix it?

Ignore it.

It just means your work is being processed at 32bit (more ACCURATE, a good thing...)

You can still record at 16bit or render your mixes down to 16bit at the end.

Actually you should just leave everything on 24bit/44.1khz and then at the very end mix down to 16bit/44.1khz and just forgetaboutit....
