Default No signal to bus?

So I'm working on a project with a simple set up - Rhythm guitar, bass, drums, vox, guitar solos.

I'm trying to create buses but for some reason my bus track isn't receiving a signal. I've got double tracked rhythm guitars sending to the Guitar Bus and there's nothing coming in to it. When I uncheck Master Send on the individual guitar tracks, it's silent. If I solo the bus, it's silent and there's no signal coming in. Tried all the other tracks as well and none of them give a signal to the bus track.

From everything I've read, it's as simple as inserting a new track, name it as a bus, click the track you want to send to this bus track (the i/o options), uncheck master send, click the send drop down and pick the new bus track you just made. Any ideas if on why no signal is coming through? Thanks in advance, this Reaper community has been massively helpful with helping me navigate home recording!

First thing I would check is the send level in the I/O options. Make sure it doesn't default to -inf dB in your preferences.

Just took a look, it's routing at +0.00 dB and I turned the guitar tracks up to +12 dB just to test it. Still no signal - I attached a screenshot, not sure if it will help but this is what I'm seeing for the routing on one of the guitar tracks going to the bus.

Hmmm... the send type says "post fx (V1 depreciated)". I've not seen that before. I'd change that to post fader.

It looks like the send is muted though. Press the "M" button and see if that works.

In your screenshot see the 'Audio' dropdown for the send. It is set to 'None'.

Derp. Didn't spot that.

That looks like a very weird way for a send to default!

It should have defaulted to 1/2 > 1/2. So maybe it got accidentally changed.
