Reaper 5.60 solo behavior (FIXED)
Hello
I’ve installed the new 5.60 update and I’m getting a strange behavior of the solo status now. I tried the different options available now but it didn’t solve my problem:
Let’s say I have two folder tracks, one we will call “instrumental” and the second one “a cappella”. In both folders I have some tracks sent in a reverb on another track, out of these folders. When I solo the folder track “a capella” I can hear the reverb, it’s normal, but I can also hear the return of the reverb of the other tracks in the “instrumental” folder.
Before this version, the solo button was acting like a “mute all other tracks except children and receive tracks”. How can I get back to this?

Yep I just noticed this also. This is probably an overlooked a side effect of some other solo behaviour fixes in 5.60.

+1, this new solo behavior (don't know if it's desired or a bug) breaks my VSTi workflow... https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?p=1902372

Thanks, a fix for this is in the latest pre-release if you are interested in testing (check out the pre-release forum).

Solo Function (cont)
Reaper vs 5.61
Maybe this has been fixed on the update, but for some reason when I solo any tracks, let's say 5 drum trucks, I can still hear the other tracks playing quietly unless I mute them.
Also, I don't know if it's related or not, but I'm seeing a capital "D" on each fader that is not being "soloed."

Sounds like you may have "Solo in front" enabled.
Options -> Solo in front
