Default Another noob-ie question about VISTA...

Hey there - slightly unusual query, but what the hell!

Have been playing guitar for about two years and keyboard for about six months and started production practise using reaper about three months ago(the price admittedley having something to do with it!) and was happy enough with it on my old XP-equipped laptop.

I use a fairly unusual set-up (running the line-6 guitarport via usb, then using Reaper for recording and editing) but had no previous problems. However, was forced to buy a new laptop (my old one died) and for some reason on the new vista system guitarport won't run in conjuncture with reaper (reaper simply freezes up) - I've tried running them all in XP compatibility mode, but still no joy.

Anyone lovely enough out there to have any ideas as to what might be causing this? It'd be greatly appreciated!

Pleasure to be on the forum at last
