Default Janky horizontal scroll

On my Macbook Pro, using the trackpad, there's a very strange scroll behaviour: https://i.imgur.com/A71Rb7U.gifv

While scrolling horizontally, the timeline bounces back to center the cursor.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

Do you have Reaper Preferences/Editing Behavior/Horizontal Zoom Center set to "Edit Cursor"? Because that would do that.

Thanks for posting this question!

I've just dealt with it at its default for several years....so many options!

I chose "Mouse Cursor" which seems good for my workflow.
