Default Removing AU cache from FX browser

Hey!

So, I've just got a new computer and I have brought over my config file from my old machine.

I have installed only what I need and chosen not to install VST's, RTAS etc, where possible and use AU instead.

Unfortunately, all of the previous scanned software for AU remains in my folders, even after rescanning. The VSTs have gone as I used "clear cache/re-scan plugins" however, this action does not seem to have an impact on the AU scanning.

I assume I might have to edit a preference file somewhere? Hope someone can help!

Thanks.

Try this:

1) Options > Show REAPER resource path ...
2) Either edit/remove the entries in the reaper-auplugins... .ini-files. Or move those reaper-auplugins... files outside of the Reaper resource folder (if you want to keep them as backup)
3) Restart Reaper afterwards

Great help solger !

For mac users, the function "clear cache/re-scan plugins" should really also take Audio Units into account. (or at least make it a additional sub option).
This would avoid any confusion, as raised by OP.

Oh, heck, i just did a feature request for that
