Icon Platform Nano
https://www.thomann.de/gb/icon_platform_nano.htm
I think it will be available soon and it seems they're marketing it as working with Reaper. I'm willing to take a risk hoping this device will follow track selection like Faderport does.
I tried Behringer X-Touch One which turned out to be working improperly with Reaper.

Has anyone got it up and running properly? I installed csurf from Klinke and DrivenByMoss 4 Reaper but they don't seem to enhance anything so far. Couldn't configure any of them either.
Anyway, it roughly works but the track selection is a mess. If you select next or previous track it sometimes selects both or none of them... It's a hit and miss.
So if anyone knows a way to configure this controller maybe with the help of the two plugins mentioned above, please share your information
BTW I'm on Win 7 x64

For the Icon Nano or the Faderport?

For the Icon Platform Nano. After using Klinke's MCU as a controller it works much better and the track selection is fixed. Still, there are a lot of buttons which don't work properly or not at all.
Maybe I should give the DrivenByMoss thingy a try but I'd have to configure everything from scratch since the Platform Nano is not supported.

You could also try CSI. I have the Icon ProX system and it all works with CSI.
I also used the stock MCU config in Reaper with lots of success. I know it's not the same system, but I would assume under the hood they are very close in terms of how it works.

So the best option now is manual mapping and using it with CSI?

Coming back to this thread I would like to share what I got so far...
1) Klinke's MCU is really wonky with the Platform Nano.
2) The generic Mackie Control Universal seems to work fine for fader rides but nearly none of the buttons.
3) There is a template in CSI for the Platform Nano and it has most of the buttons assigned, which is an amazing load of work! But unfortunately I can't get the fader, pan pot or rotaries get to work. I don't know if it is me or the template though...
Anybody else got any success with this thing?

Hi
I haven't checked Nano template yet but I'm working with CSI MCU template and all the basic functions you mentioned are there. Could it be as simple as merging the working parts of two templates?

Hey Zajac,
great to hear it's working for you. The MCU template doesn't seem to work much better than the Nano template.
Can you get all the transport, fader and mute, solo, rec wo work properly? What about the track selector (next, previous track)?

You have to make sure that the device is DISABLED in Preferences>Midi Devices...both the input and output.

timothys_monster - everything you've mentioned works except the jog wheel and zoom buttons. Other than that the red layer has all 6 automation modes, I can control send 1 level with a fader and pan encoders works as expected too. I have 1.08 firmware.

Hi, CSI MCU template is the script DrivenbyMoss? I'm totally confuse..and Icon manual its really poor. Someone has tried mapping with Control mode (User Define)? Could assign motor fader to a knob cutoff filter function?
Thanks a lot...I think i'll give back this piece of junk.
Cheers.

So I got one for christmas and am sad to see that altough there is a Reaper sticker on the box, it doesn't fully work.
Before getting it, I thought "no news since February, the manufacturer claims it's compatible, should be good".
Does anybody have news? (I also sent an email to Icon)
I tried:
- Mackie Control Universal as indicated in the quick start guide (mostly works except weird track selection behaviour and zoom/scroll don't work)
- DrivenByMoss (works the best, but the rotary knobs are slow, the red Flip button doesn't work and some buttons flash when I change others, scroll doesn't work, only zoom and scrub doesn't work)
- CSI (track selection not working correctly, so I didn't even check the other stuff)
I tried both with firmware 1.08 and 1.14

You need an appropriately recent version of the fitting configuration files.

Update
Hey guys, just got one for my studio. I'm currently using the MCU Universal settings and everything works except for move to next track option. Are you guys using it with CSI or maybe Realearn?
