Default Mute Envelope Bug at Endpoints

1. When a Mute envelope UNMUTES, it's cutting off the transient at the location of the unmute point.

2. When a Mute envelope MUTES, it's letting through the transient at the location of the mute point.

Quick test -- if you mute a drum loop you'll get a CLICK (a bit of the transient)at the mute point, and if you unmute you'll get NO TRANSIENT at the unmute point.

It's like the Mute/Unmute behaviour kicks in ever so slightly after the point instead of AT it. I get it -- its an instantaneous change, so it can't be BOTH Mute and Unmute at the same time, but the PRIORITY should be that of the envelope point! It seems reversed right now.

Does this make sense? I can post examples, it's definitely consistent behaviour (easiest to hear with drums or anything with strong transients).

Mute envelopes have a short fade when transitioning state (to avoid clicks), which starts at the transition point. This fade length is set in prefs/audio.

If you want perfect sample-level control over the envelope, you should probably use a volume envelope instead.

So yeah, the correct behaviour should be:

At UNMUTE point, volume should be at 100% at the sample-level.
At MUTE point, volume should be at -INF at the sample-level.

The tiny fade currently built into this type of envelope should occur slightly before the point.

Thoughts? This is kind of a big issue for electronic production, which relies heavily on hard mutes.

Just want to say -- using the Volume envelope is not a great solution because it's already filled with other automation, automation items, etc. Why have a Mute envelope if we can just use the Volume envelope? I love having the Mute envelope -- it's Red and easily visible, but it's somewhat unusable with the fade happening after the envelope point instead of before Seems like a quick fix no?
