I can live with those influences! I thought about organ but didn't want to put in too many layers. Less is more sometimes. Cheers

Good stuff. Expected the vocal line to go higher at the start of the part labeled "M8" but maybe it's not in your range and what you have works, it just wasn't quite what I expected. Would have liked the solo to be longer. Other than that everything is great. Mix is just fine. That's a great snare too.

I like it. Simple and just the right touch of emotions. Welcome back and also the man in the mirror.

Thanks Dex, I felt comfortable with the range in the middle 8 and didn't want to push it more. However I must confess that I recorded the vocal sitting down, which I don't usually do, maybe that had a bearing.

This song is very 'you'.

Hello Mik, thanks my friend. Looks now like I have to have a worn out bone removed from my right thumb. That will screw with the playing even mre than the op on the left thumb. Dratted arthritis and I've had my fill of hospital lately. I've just finished a minor tweak here and there. The guitars are actually fairly bright but I've played with the levels a bit so they make work better.

I agree with what's being said. Overall a friendly piece of music with an existential question. Well done.

Thanks Jorgen, a friend recently asked what my latest song was about (she hadn't heard it) I said I had no idea. I still don't... I just wanted to use the Shakespearian (I think) phrase "through a glass darkly" in some way. I think any existential element is purely accidental on my part. More stream of consciousness I reckon. Or codswallop!

I'd love to be a couple of pints in at a local live music pub on a cold winter night hearing this played. Got a melancholy side to it despite the obvious classic influences in the chord progressions.

I like it

You mean those chords have been used before? The bloke who sold them to me swore they were original.

Alas my live playing days are over thanks to arthritis but I appreciate the sentiment.

I tried buying some off him too, but he reckoned he only had 12 notes and that was it.

Thanks. I'm not a guitar player so have to keep it simple.
