interproject AI copying is working as desired here, with both projects having the same timebase/tempo map, as long as you encapsulate everything in its own empty item. this will work for me for now, thanks!

Starting with some simple tests, seems to be looking good. Will proceed to some more advanced testing...

I noticed this right away, and had not before, but I checked 5.941 and something similar or same happens there too. But maybe it is related to current development enough to mention, I hope.

A bug with dragging the edge of MIDI items that shifts boundaries and content, and a related visual bug.

Items with various relations of loop source and start position in relation to region boundary/tempo change.

Purple and blue items at top have their source start at the region boundary/tempo change. They shift as soon as you drag the edge of the item.

Orange/pink items at the bottom do not have their source at the region boundary/tempo change. the MIDI peaks in arrange shift when the edge gets to a certain point. You can see it happen if you pay close attention, or afterwards you can see the edit cursor crosses a note quite far from the edge of note. But I think its just the peaks on these two items, and not the notes real position.

Edit. Proximity to previous tempo change seems to have an effect. If region is copied further down the time line, it may not exhibit this behavior. Hm. Can act up in different ways there too...

Thanks, spotting a bunch of things to fix here, but it'll have to wait for 5.96pre...

If anybody spots any regressions (against 5.941 especially) please post these! Thanks.

Checking in here as I've been testing ARA2. I assume that ARA2 support is turned off for the release candidates? Downloaded this rc4 today, and didn't have access to ARA2 in my new project, so went back to a previous downloaded pre18 build. Would love to have access to a non pre build with ARA2 built in, as I am wanting to test Melodyne not Reaper.

5.95pre21 is latest with ARA, see 5.95rc1 changelog notes,...
+ Removed still-testing/in-development branches (these will return in 5.96pre):
! ARA support
! VST3 parameter flushing mode
! Stretch marker modes
! WALTER improvements
! 14-bit NRPN/RPN CC editing (will get finished someday)
! Routing diagram view (will get finished someday)

I am glad that you are looking into these timebase changes -- it is one of the bigger AI bugs.

Re the smaller buglets that I listed in previous threads, these still seem to remain:

* The incorrect selection of AIs and MIs after Undoing Copy/Move/Duplicate actions may be related to this unexpected behavior: When alternating between selecting MIs and selecting AIs, some steps are not added to the undo history, even though all options have been ticked in Preferences -> General -> Undo settings:

The following GIF illustrates incorrect AI and MI selection after undo, as well as:

* AIs outside time selection are not deselected when mousedragging "Copy item" or "Move item":
