OT Linux Window Manager Question
I would like to better understand how to change window managers. I'm using LinuxMint. I understand that some window managers or DE are lighter weight. I'm fine doing my own research into the differences, I'm wondering about how to install and/or change them. Is it simply a matter of installing a different DE? And if so, if you have more than one on your system, can you easily go back and forth between them?
Hopefully you get the poorly worded question. Thanks in advance Gil |

IIRC, LinuxMint uses lightdm as the default display manager. You'll need to disable autologin to be able to switch DEs and/or WMs. It's in that step in the boot process when you can change them and set your default one.
