Default Harrison AVA plugins crash REAPER

I have a suite of Harrison AVA plugins that consistently crash REAPER. Harrison say they can't replicate this, but I just cannot stop this behavior. I can load them (any) but when I close the plugin window it crashes REAPER. MixBus v6 has no such issue here.

Sadly I suspect you are part of a tiny minority of people on the forum who still use Harrison plugins. I haven`t even looked at mine in years.

Sorry.

Mind you, which version of Windows, Reaper and the Harrison plugins are you using?

Could be as simple as a mixup between 32&64 bits

Default SOLVED

Peeps my bloody Intel 540 on die graphics card driver was the culprit. Went back to 2017 drivers and now no issues at all. Hard to track down, but anyway - be careful with these drivers - they can cause all sorts of issues and remain very hard to trace as the source. Thanks for the replies fellas.

Thank you for your post and the troubleshooting you clearly did. I am new to Windows and am having the same problems. Unfortunately my laptop is too new to roll back more than one generation of drivers and, unfortunately, that did not help. Neither did installing newer Intel ones via the Intel website.
Bit of a pity Harrison has not looked into fixing this issue as I quite like their AVA plug-ins.

I will try running Reaper off the internal NVIDIA card if I can manage that (> PC n00b). I can confirm that the Intel GPU drivers are the problem - or probably how the AVA plugins use them. When running Reaper on the dGPU on the laptop the crash does not occur.
