Thank you for your post and the troubleshooting you clearly did. I am new to Windows and am having the same problems. Unfortunately my laptop is too new to roll back more than one generation of drivers and, unfortunately, that did not help. Neither did installing newer Intel ones via the Intel website.
Bit of a pity Harrison has not looked into fixing this issue as I quite like their AVA plug-ins.
I will try running Reaper off the internal NVIDIA card if I can manage that (> PC n00b). I can confirm that the Intel GPU drivers are the problem - or probably how the AVA plugins use them. When running Reaper on the dGPU on the laptop the crash does not occur.
