Default Routing audio from a vsti track? Impossible in Reaper??

I set up IRIS 2 in a vsti midi track ,recorded something and decided to manually route the audio to an audio track so I lmb dragged the routing into the audio track.

I armed the audio track and it recorded nothing.

Then I looked at the settings and could not understand it.

Master arm ?

Which track needs to have master arm on and why?

Reaper does everything but even simple things are hard to do in this very woke DAW.

I just wanted to see if I could do it manually.

I will do it my normal way by Rendering the midi item as an audio stem,NFI how to do it in real time.

I see Audio signal in the Audio track but as soon as I arm it,the audio signal is lost.

How do I fix that?

Reaper is horrible for the simple practical stuff.

P.S. so this is broken in Reaper?

You can't route audio into another track from a vsti track in real time?
