Fan - tas - tic!
Thanks man for working so hard on this theme and for sharing it with us. Absolutely intuitive layouts but I agree with G-Sun: (blank) dividers would be the icing on the cake!
Can't wait to use this theme!!!

Simply amazing! Especially as there is a resize possibility for the mixer now, because I use it on a "almost full-screen" view with some toolbars below the mixer (all on a touchscreen).

Holy speeechless @White Tie
Huge thanks for just bringing the best ;-) Man the Stockholm option theme is outstanding and details are amazing. Hope to see a Stockholm Track Panels option soon. Reminds me a bit of Presonus Ai Control Panel feel/ImageLine wich I reeeeeeally loooove.
Simply classic Reaper Theme;-) Kudos and thanks for sharing

hi WT, looks awesome!!
One small idea I find useful, that maybe you'd like to consider is a strip layout the shows the fx/send section. I do the mod myself, and although the plugin titles get cutoff, it is extremely useful and gives the ultra narrow layouts much more use (in my experience).
awesome work!

White Tie, you're simply the best. The look I prefer is Stockholm (is this a new Stockholm syndrom ?) because of the dual pan mode visualization. It's the first time we have a visual idea of the way our tracks are panned. Thanks for that, I was waiting for this for years.

Great work as always! Thank you very much!
I think this is the time to buy a second screen.
One question: Is it possible to move the VU meters next to (or under) the faders? It can save a lot of space at the top of the screen. And I would like to see a theme where the signal flows top to bottom in line.

The dark flat 'stockholm' layout is great. I'd switch from my current favourite dark theme.

The coloring is just track colors.
The paisley is part of one or two layouts; None More Black has it, for one. It's just a transparency in the mixer panel image, so it gets blended with your track color, but in this case the transparency is in a pattern rather than just a solid block like most themes.

So... it was originally "Made in the EU", but, obviously, future mods won't be... perhaps one of these... "Born/Birthed/Conceived in the EU"?
I gotta' tell ya', though, this is great.

Stunning, the beautiful white tie mixer with a more practical TCP, larger metering with colour gradient and the ability to minimise the FX's and insert panes, or a way to scroll through them, would make this absolutely perfect. great job though, well done WT.

.. and this is why I want White Tie to be the DICTATOR AND ABSOLUTE RULER of developing Reaper 6.0 theme. Designed-by-committee just doesn't work (sorry to the people that will undoubtly feel offended by this comment).

Went down the 'donation' path with other Themes a couple times. One just died and fades to oblivion, the other has notable issues and developer is already working on a new Theme. NO MORE !!!
ALWAYS end up back at WT_Imperial
Would quickly trade shorter time to V5 for a handful of 'lesser' features !!!
OTH, it's clear that almost every User will argue over which features , so will impatiently wait for result WT finds acceptable.
GO IMPERIAL V5 !!!!!!!!!!

B)
Amazing creative ideas!
How do you get the track numbers to follow the track colors?
I think a Stockholm variant would make a great V6 Default...

I wouldn't say that, but well... I'm sorry to say that it's not 'moderatly usable', it's simply unusable for me at its present state. Seems that the mixer is more or less ready, "because, well, it's Imperial". Then...
- Why, for several layouts and a wide range of mixer heights, the meters are simply invisible ? Rather a strange choice for mixing...
- For other range of heights, why the three dots below each extended mixer section are superposing with its controls, especially the 'sends' ones ? And are these really necessary ?
- For the 'Stockholm' layouts, why do we have a blank area, with a strange black outgrowth at the bottom of it, displayed instead of the extended area controls ?
- Still for the 'Stockholm' layouts, why don't the folders indicators lit as for the other ones ?
- For 'Default' and 'Stockholm' layouts, What happened to the mcp.recmon control ? IMO, at least the 'Default' layouts should show ALL the available controls that could be used in the mixer.
- Has the 'Tracking deck (neat)' layout been really tested ? It's completely buggy, with several controls displayed over other ones.
- About the 'Sidecar' ones, wouldn't it be more coherent to show a fader as for the other layouts, instead of a huge blank area ?
- Is it normal that there is no minimal vertical size of the mixer, especially in a theme for which the mcp.extmixer.mode is set to [1] ?
At this point, I'm really wondering what the 'implicitly trusted testers' have been doing, from which this present post. And I have to mention questionable display choices, among others, several labels that don't follow Reaper terminology (i.e. 'Solo safe' instead of 'Solo defeat') or the mcp.trackidx vertical position that vary with layouts choosed.
With this, I know that beside the mixer, things are still under development, but I can't avoid mentioning also several things that need a quick fix :
- The tcp master track shows only, beside the fader and the meters, the master.tcp.solo control for the 'Layout default'. Is this by design ? And using the 'a1 -- Default' one shows nearly unusable crunched controls.
- Still for the tcp.master track, why aren't we able to redimension it vertically to reduce its size ? There is a non Walter statement can be added in the rtconfig.txt header for this : tcp_master_minheight 22
- The transport panel is oversized and the 'Compact' layout is buggy with, among others, a 'Loop' button overextended and covering the 'selection' fields.
- Still for the transport panel : the 'Center transport controls' option doesn't work. Could be useful for some...
- In the track list, the tcp.trackidx is almost invisible : something should be done, here.
- We really need true and visible folder indentation of the tracks list in the arrangement window. Much more useful than any folder indentation in the mixer, in my view.
And finally... This theme .ReaperThemeZip file uses no less than 7.3 Mb and is the only theme I know of that shows a significant delay when loading it. Is there anything that could be done to optimize it and make it more sober ?
Sorry to disturb, with all this, the fanboys fest...

Oh please don't feed the trolls. Cubic13's post was thoughtful; noise_construct's was obviously bait in how it attacked users as opposed to intelligently critiquing the work being displayed.

cubic13 makes a lot of good points. I must say that I actually think that the MCP looks WAY too busy, and it's not really easy to follow with lots of tracks in there.
Also I agree with nomenclature fuckups. Why Cut when Reaper calls it Mute everywhere? Makes no sense (unless WT is to provide a langpack to change Mute to Cut everywhere?)...

Thanks WT so much for sharing. I love the Stockholm layout.
Why on the original the knobs have lots of artifacts (circumferences are jagged just as the gradients?).

I think nomenclature is debateably a choice of personal taste and who among us doesn't know cut and mute are the same thing....of course thinking about making something widely useable by even beginners....I agree there should be continuity to the conventions used, so the question becomes: is the theme something a beginner would use? And in this case I think it would definately attract new users, but It's a bit quirky and I immediately switched back to another theme. All in all I think there are some brilliant ideas that need a little more work, and as WT said he wanted us to have the code and look it over, so that's what I am doing and I wouldn't criticize anything but a final build. It's pretty to say the least, I am hoping the stockholm layout gets alot of attention. Big paws on a puppy. As far as the TCP concerns, there is no TCP. He simply copied and pasted the v5 TCP stuff into the theme so we could use it, and thats why there are lots of graphical problems> that is how things translated.
Us fanboys just read the explanation and introduction to the download link I guess.

Cubic13: If he says it's "very far from done", then why bother criticizing it in such detail. He says it's "moderately usable" and that's as far as he goes in declaring how "done" it is. The title of the thread is "WT Imperial v5 - progress snapshot build".
No good deed goes unpunished...

Well WT has clearly stated that he's not looking for critique in this thread and has trusted testers performing that role. He's just graciously sharing his WIP here so I'd imagine the scope of replies to be more or less simple gratitude for something that has cost you absolutely nothing.
