Default Track Volume jumps randomly

I've had a problem since the latest update (5.971).
The volume of a selected track seems to randomly jump to +1.37dB. I tried replicating my actions to isolate any triggers for the jump but wasn't getting anything concrete. Then I noticed it happen as I was recording a new take on the active track. So it seems to be happening randomly even when I'm not touching the keyboard.
I did the script stop action but I'm not really that tech minded so I'm a bit lost.
I haven't introduced any new plug-ins or tried anything unusual/new with the DAW. I'm laying down guitar tracks and that's about it. I run Toontrack EZDrummer but that's always stable. I really haven't done anything more than I always do.

Edit: Just thought, been using Faderport more recently, could I be getting something out of this?

Me too, also connect old Presonus Faderport recently. HOWEVER I've had random track volume jumps in previous seasons without the faderport. I don't have enough data for the earlier random track jumps yet have confirmed NO automation with current dilemma.

ANY INFO would be great...... DISCONNECTING Faderport now.

IN any event Thanks for reading!
