Default More robust named notes view capabilities

It would be amazing to have better drum editing tools, especially for those of us who work with realistic acoustic drums library. So here are some suggestions:

1) option for only the selected pitch's velocity appears and/or is editable in the velocity lane (this is Cubase's, Studio One's, and Toontrack's default behavior)

2) ability to color code pitches/note names (eg. Hi-hats are green, kicks are red, snares are blue, etc). Studio One has this feature.

3) ability to collapse and/or child pitches under others. Toontrack's EZDrummer 3 and Superior Drummer have collapsible lanes for each drum kit component.

Are you talking about selected note velocity? If so, then it basically works like this, you edit only selected velocity. Perhaps try to enable MIDI Editor's Options -> CC/velocity lane -> Edit CC/velocity only when mouse is near event. Also in case you didn't know MIDI editor has Filter events dialog, where you can click Set filter from selection and you'll see only selected events and would be able to edit only them for sure.

This is not exactly what I'm talking about. In this case, you would only be able to see velocities in the velocity lane for the notes that are within the pitch cursor (and therefore only able to edit them). Unless you also select notes in other pitches, in which case, you would only be able to see the velocities in those pitches.

You can see exactly what I mean in this video. Notice that when he paints in the other elements, the velocity lane changes accordingly.

Ah, all right. It is not possible, yes.

bump.

No one else interested in this / realistic acoustic drums MIDI editing workflows?

While we're at it, could we also get the ability to move notes vertically to adjacent note lanes in custom view?
