Default OSCII-bot 0.3 Celphor 0.1

Hi,

I am happy to announce OSCII-bot 0.3 Celphor 0.1!

It extends OSCII-bot with handling for sysex messages.

Exe and documentation are attached.

Currently only Windows is supported. If there is demand for an OSX version I need a helpful hand from a Mac programmer.

Have fun

Hey, cool! I'd like to see if I can compile an OS X version of your fork when I'm back in the studio, Celphor.

Default OSX

I can compile for OSX now, but there are a few things to do for sending long messages. Will take a few hours with fresh head...

If you have any ideas/needs, please let me know.

My next challenge is to build a mechanism to get notified in the code when devices are plugged/unplugged. Would be nifty to keep gear and Reaper in sync without manual intervention ;-)

Thanks for the tip, but I don't want to monitor USB devices. You could have MIDI via Firewire, serial port, bluetooth or LAN too...

OSCIIbot already does some device monitoring, but only reports it on the console. This should be enhanced a little bit.

Heh, Imho it's kind of funny that OSCII-bot handles intermittent device availability more elegantly than REAPER does.

Oh, and much thanks for OS X support and sharing code. Will check it out soon!

Do you know how OSX apps are deployed normally? Just zipped the .app folder.. Is this correct or simply dumb? ;-)

Cheers

Btw: Clear your PM box, it's full ;-)

Default Version 0.2.1

Version 0.2.1 is out.

There was an ugly bug in 0.2 preventing incoming OSC messages to be processed :-(

Is it possible to add command to send sysex commands in a string format, instead of /xF0/x00/x2B or a column type?

Sysex strings are crashing oscii-bot, either input or output.
Windows 10, 32/64 oscii-bot (celphor 0.21), latest Reaper x64.
It's sad that celphor abandoned this app. There's no similar software exist on earth for now.
