Default ReaPitch PDC bug? (NO BUG)

Hey guys, there is a PDC bug in ReaPitch (I used the "Elastique 3.1.4 Pro Preserve Formants Low Pitches" algorithm, Reaper 5.5c):

1) insert ReaPitch on a track and bounce it
2) import the pitched wav file to a separat track and invert phase
=> there will be no silence

Confirmed (5.50c/x64).

First loop is fine (-inf). After that it won't null anymore.

Same with other plugins (ReaFir, Voxengo Elephant ...).

I'm pretty sure this is not a PDC bug, but because ReaPitch/ReaFIR are non-linear, their behavior depends a lot on the position that playback began processing. In ReaPitch it actually depends on the material itself, too (so if it processes some silence before the material, the results can differ).

If you do this same test with ReaVerb (which is linear) it should null, even with considerable PDC (except right around the loop point where the reverb tails from the previous loop will be heard)

Similarly, if you test with ReaFIR but where it is not modifying the signal (EQ at default settings), it should null perfectly. If you do a small edit in ReaFIR, then it would not. You can also set ReaFIR (in EQ mode) to be linear, by checking the "reduce artifacts" box, in which case it should also null (except for right at the loop point where the filtering will differ when looping).

thanks Justin for the fast reply! The reason I post that: I'm doin a 35 track choir production at the moment and want to keep all singers in key (one mic per singer).
Do I have to fear interferences if I use ReaPitch in the same settings on all tracks? I just wanna stabilize the choir as a whole and do per-singer-pitches in melodyne after that.
