Doing the additional banks seemed excessive.
Nice big displays, parameters spread out with readouts for every encoder and button. 32 total rotaries (includes a page for the shift encoders) with 16 buttons...and I can share FX zones between the hardware and OSC version. Really pleased with this. Just the right amount of control for me.
So great being able to see the mapping on the hardware and just have the two devices function as a single unit.
Definitely can't pull this off in my other two DAW's. Thanks Geoff and Reaper, and the broader community for helping this project move forward!

Are you using the ability to have that page come up automatically like in the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byqW...ature=youtu.be
If so, looks like you just came up with a neat feature request -- some new virtual widgets -- OnNoModifiers, OnShift, OnOption, OnControl, OnAlt, so that pressing the Shift would automatically change the TouchOSC page, or have you already found a way to do that ?

Oh, it was definitely the configurator
But in all seriousness, I don't know. Static electricity maybe? The air is a bit dry with the heat on and I haven't turned on humidifier on yet.
As far as the focals go, they are second hand alpha 65's so I don't know how old they are. I was mistakenly running sonarworks with safe headroom turned off for a while so I worry that may have done it.
I'm not going to sweat it too much. I have an old pc monitor laying around and this will give me a chance to run everything through this behringer grot box I've had for a while and never use. I'll send out the focal and replace the 4ktv I was using when I have the scratch to do so.

Thanks MixMonkey! How difficult would it be to add a column or two to represent color to the right of Column D on the output? Would you be able to guide me as to where on the macro I'd have to make adjustments or would it just be too many places to be worth the effort?
Similar to what you're doing with Toggles, I want to add a column to the right of that with the condition that says:
=IF(D189=" [ 0.0 1.0 ] ", " { 90 255 0 255 50 0 } ", "")
...this way if there's a toggle, green/red on the MFTWister. I've got an alternative sheet I put together that does that, but it's way more tedious and manual than your Output sheet + create zone script.

For as grim of a moment that was for me, I had a pretty good chuckle telling myself theres just no possible way those things were related. The timing of events was spot on though.
And no I suspect my speakers have been like that for a little while. It's not completely blown it's just lacking quite a bit of low end. So I only noticed it when I solo'd the left side of something. I'm also basically deaf in one ear so I have a hard time localizing where sounds are coming from.
Thanks all for the pity lol. I'll be up and running in no time.

I haven't found a solution for that, and those virtual widgets sound great. The shift encoders on the Twister are a little different though in that they are widgets unto themselves not modified widgets. But honestly, if I had OnShift as a virtual widget, I might just go that new route for the reasons you're pointing out.

Yeah, I'll be honest, just shootin' from the hip, don't know how feasible it all is...

I'm going to be honest, I did chuckle to myself a little bit at the thought that hitting debug in Excel blew up your monitor and speakers. But I feel your pain.
If the PC monitor and speaker issues happened simultaneously I'd try to look at the power. Maybe there was a surge? I had my RME Fireface 800 plugged in and on during hurricane Sandy and when we lost power it burned out the power supply which needed a rebuild. Still my primary interface.
I feel your pain though.

No worries. Like I said, I don't know of a single other DAW that can do what Reaper+CSI allows for right now. Anything else at this point is just a bonus...

To be perfectly honest the code is an utter dog's breakfast (Geoff would be horrified ) I'm slowly remembering what goes where and why I did things a certain way (I haven't looked at it for ages)
If what you're asking is always associated with Toggle, I can probably add that quite easily.
Could you post an MFT FX.zone so I can get a better idea of how it all looks?

I may have to buy you a beer or two.
In an ideal world, I'd have two color options:
One for unassigned parameters, which I handle like this (always would use 999/unassigned)...
Code:
Button FX Param 999 "Unassigned" { 0 75 255 0 75 255 }
One for toggles, which look like this....
Code:
Button FX Param 0 "Bypass" [ 0.0 1.0 ] { 90 255 0 255 50 0 }
Colors only apply to button widgets (you call them RotaryPush, cjewellstudios calls them something else).
Code:
Zone "VST: SILIKA (Kush Audio)"
FocusedFXNavigator
RotaryA1 FXParam 11 "Threshold" [ (0.001,0.0015,0.002,0.0025,0.003,0.0035,0.004,0.005,0.0075,0.01,0.025) ]

If you're busy, I might be able to find where in the code the toggles get added and just append the colors for toggles on my own. It looks like the Script handles some of the clean-up and I may be able to figure that part out.

Cross post! That works really well (just removed the comma). Found it in the code too.
Very slick!
Here's a .zon I just whipped up with MixMonkey's modified script! So fast, so good! There's some extra rows at the bottom but that's by the nature of me having replaced the C and D widgets on the output page.

This new version has displays for the Buttons and ShiftRotary widgets which ties into that FXTwister TouchOSC template. One FX.zon file for two different devices with different capabilities. Love it!
I'm really thinking about renaming Button to "RotaryPush" so these .zon/mst/osc filess so these would be compatible with the C4. At least the top two rows of widgets and vice versa.

Sorry, I don't know what the syntax is for color. We're in black and white over here

Thanks for the kind thought but you really don't have to
I was going to suggest cutting the configurator down to a 4 x 4 grid, so it visually corresponded with the MFT. What do you think? I noticed you used the A & B rows, probably because the fx.zon comes out neater with all the relevant stuff together.

You'll probably be mortified at how I handled this, but here's what I've done...
I completely moved some stuff around on the Input page (which broke some things like the Clear, but baby steps), and I completely rearranged the Output page to match.
Mind you, I'm not doing FX Menus or multiple zones, so if I clean this up, I may start removing some of those sections. This is really for my own use, and I'm almost embarrassed sharing but it [mostly] works for me!
Regarding the 4x4 grid, I actually use an 8 widget naming convention and have limited myself to page 1 of the MFTwister for FX mapping, so A8 to B8 works great. I just used some colors to break up the lines visually.
Thanks again, really appreciate all your help! If you ever find yourself in the NYC area post-COVID, hit me up! I'll buy you those beers.

I'm still seeing problems with read mode in eucon. It's slightly better but still broken. If I move a fader in read mode it still stays where it is when I let go, but if I switch my track selection in Reaper it will instantly bounce back to the correct position. Also now in the latest version, if I watch the values on the scribble strip as I move the fader I can see that they don't change if the track is in read mode, even though the physical fader does not reflect this after I let go of it.

Ah, ok I clearly don't understand enough about how the MFT works to set about this If what you have works for you, that's all that matters
Do you want to see if I can implement that 'unassigned' thing?

I can give it a shot later tonight. Appreciate the offer though. If I completely get stuck, I might reach out for guidance.

Hmmm...
Not what I'm seeing here on the Mix units, what are you testing on ?
At least there is some small progress
The saga continues...

So actually after using it for a little longer it seems like the faders do snap back on their own sometimes. I'm using an S1, but I just pulled my old Artist Mix unit out of the closet as well, and the behavior is a little different depending on which hardware I'm using. With the S1 the faders only snap back on their own about 10% of the time, and get "stuck" the other 90% of the time. With the Mix the faders snap back about 75% of the time, and only get stuck around 25% of the time. I'm starting to think this may be a timing issue with how the faders on the avid hardware respond and perhaps not a CSI problem.

Got it working. Excel formula to check the Cell above for "Unassigned" if yes, show the referenced color, if no, check if value <>"" and show toggle+color, else blank.
Then went in and modified the macro with another set of ELSEIF's to clean them up.
This is perfect for my needs now. Thanks!

Ah intermittent problems, my favourite
OK, looks like we're into a workaround game here
The more info you can give me the better, maybe there's a clue in there on how best to proceed...

Good stuff! Makes FX mapping a lot easier and less error prone doesn't it?
A side benefit that I'm just beginning to appreciate is that the FX.zon files that are generated are formatted identically, meaning if you have to RegEx them to change something (like changing Toggle+ to [ 0.0 1.0 ], it works a lot more easily

I will also just follow the "roatarypush" convention. Makes sense to conform here for the eventual purpose of sharing zones.
I'll take a look at what you've done funkybot and see if I can adapt it for me. You all are a bunch of wizards, though.
Making fx zones or mst files is the extend of my "coding" knowledge.

Try this one...
It will automatically add green/red to toggles, and if you manually type in: 999~Unassigned into a button/encoder that has no assignment, it will set it to a color of your choosing. See the output page.
I also added a stepped parameter lookup table off to the right of the main zone section. I'm thinking it may be possible to eventually leverage that to intelligently add in stepped parameters. But I'm taking an Excel break. For now, it'll be helpful if you just want to copy paste stepped parameter values into your .zon manually. You enter the number of steps up top, it gives you the syntax for the steps at the bottom.

@MixMonkey Well it's taken a night of insomnia for me to finally realise what I was doing wrong with this - hadn't setup a ZoneFXFiles folder currently! Fantastic, thanks so much for developing this, it's going to be a great timesaver.
Only problem I have now is (and the insomnia probably hasn't helped this time) is with the changes I need to make to each file. I've looked at Funkybot's excellent post but I seem to have got myself completely confused and my files in a real state.
Is there any chance you could share a sample C4 .zon file for any plugin and your mst/zon for the surfaces? That way I can understand what I need to do and make the relevant changes my end.
Once I've moved over to the new version I'll be able to upload a load of C4 plugin .zon files to the stash.
Thanks again for all your help on this. Having these surfaces working has really helped me develop a workflow - and I'll looking forward to what button on the MCU I'm going to program next!

Touched up the wiki a bit.
Anyone want to look it over to check for errors, make suggestions, etc., please feel free.
It's a work in progress, so there's lots left to do...

Finished first pass at wiki, I'm sure there's lots of errors and omissions, but it's a start.
Please pursue at your leisure, on the lookout for said errors, omissions, typos, etc.

This is great man! Splendid job adapting this, the stepped param look up table is great!
I basically need to double what you have. Adding what you did but with c and d in there as well.
I'd like to poke around in the code but I'm not sure where to look. They are called macros, right? And in excel you can view all the macros in the doc, but there were quite a few when I looked at mixmonkeys version, so I'll need a hint or two to have a fighting chance.
