Pod XT Pro and impulses

Anyone knows that is possible to install impulses on Pod XT Pro?

I'm using this old device with Redwirez IR's and it's amazing how good sound I can reach with Redwirez IR's. Would be very nice to install this IR's in XT.

It's kinda old so I guess you won't get past the builtin AIR cab simulation tech and most you can do is buy additional model packs.

Thanks. Would be great if someone make patches or alternative software for this processor, but probably is impossible.

The XT doesn't allow turning AIR off? Even my pre XT POD Beans have a switch on the unit for that. Actually, manuals says you can just choose no cab as your cab - seems like that would be the right direction to add your own cab IR after the fact.

While you can't install IRs on the POD XT itself, you can most definitely turn off the AIR modelling and use Redwirez after the fact, like Karbo said. I do it all the time now that I know how good the POD can sound without its own cab & mic models!

Am I taking crazy pills or the last two posts advise the OP of doing exactly what he writes he's doing.

You are correct, and I hope your crazy pills taste amazing!

We're both disagreeing AND agreeing - one canNOT install external IRs on the POD, you CAN turn off cab & mic modelling, and RedWirez IRs sound great with the POD

They were replies to your assumption that XT can't turn off the cab sim, which needs to be possible (it is) before considering using something else in its place, regardless of where that place is.
