Default FFMPEG Links on Wiki Page Are Dead?

ON the cockos Wiki page here: http://wiki.cockos.com/wiki/index.php/Video_Support the links to the FFMPEG pages are leading to 404 Not Found pages.

Does anyone know where to find those encoders now and who to contact to update the Wiki?

Thanks!

Ken

I don't know how you guys know all this stuff, but I'm glad you do. I wasn't involved in this thread last week, but it's just what I needed today.

Note: for 64-bit builds at least, there are no DLLs included.

Choose a version of FFMPEG that has the version number ("release build"), not a "nightly" or "latest" build. Choose your OS version. Choose "static".

Unzip it. Put the DLLs from the extracted Zip archive's "bin" folder (but not the EXEs) into the "Reaper resource folder" specifically in its "userplugins" subfolder. To find your Reaper resource folder, within reaper go to the menu and choose Options -> Show REAPER resource path in explorer/finder. Then you'll see the "userplugins" subfolder. Put those DLLs in there. Restart Reaper.

(These DLLs are *not* to be placed in " C:\Program Files\REAPER (x64)\Plugins"!)

Hi, just checking: you got DLLs in the zip file you downloaded? I didn't...only the .exe's.

I've already prepared a fixed version of the article, but the Wiki seems to rely on some form of Captcha spam protection that isn't working. I hope an admin sees my post about this problem.
