Was briefly worried when first project after update was stuttering and crackling like crazy. Just needed a reboot though.

Thanks for the update

Bi-directional over a single port, e.g. if you send to a device it can now reply to sender, and similarly you can reply to the device that last sent to you (simplifying the configuration in many instances). Previously you had to manually specify local port and remote host/port.

At long last, thank you, Reaper Overlords! (but would it be too much to ask that this affects regions & the Navigator as well?)

Your suggestion worked. I had snapping enabled which was the issue. I thank you for this, much appreciated!

Ah ah you need to have a look at past releases, then
The most epic one was 5.50

Also make sure to watch EpicSounds videos explaining new features.

I used to use the tempo/time signature marker also as... a marker. It seems now i will have to add MARKERS to the tempo MARKERS in order to see more easily where those changes are.
I must say I dont like this change.

Too bad that there is no Notation editor improvement...
Again, you can't read when having several accidentals in the same system. They are all over each other.

It would also be nice if you could Cmd(Ctrl) drag to copy the tempo/time signatures
like duplicating items instead of having to create new ones. Also be able to select them and copy/paste. It would be cool for projects that have a lot of the same tempo and time sig changes.
Hope I'm able to expressing myself right.

cheers

All nice 'n dandy, but REAPER is becoming bloat ware. I mean, 11.1 MB? How long will I have to wait for the download with my 56k modem...

haven't run into that but that brings up a good point. I think Ruler height should probably be stored with screensets

I think it may be useful if you attach the Reaper.ini file too.

Can't duplicate here on winxp sp1.

Does it do it without reaper_sws installed?

Does it do it with a stock reaper.ini?

If you set the transport cursor position info to "Use time tuler unit" everything else works as expected apart from "Measures.Beats (minimal) / Minutes:Seconds" which shows only Measures.Beats in the transport.
I'm sure it worked in 5.62 as a project I'm working on uses this setting and suddenly after updating to 5.70 the Minutes:Seconds info is gone from the transport. Edit: did a portable test install of 5.62, same there.

I will check. But it definitely looks like its on my end. Thx for confirming. Sorry for the waste of time.

Edit..just for completeness I'm reporting back. I took the sws plug out of plug ins..didn't do an official uninstall..and no improvement. Tried a portable install...no improvement. Must be my system somewhere. I can use the shift dbl click to edit regions so need to bother you guys further.
And Merry Christmas!

Edit 2...the vanishing window goes to my second monitor. And it will also do it when using INSERT/MIDI ITEM. If i disable the second monitor in nvidia ctrl panel there is no issue. The monitors are in configure seperatly mode.Maybe an old video driver?
This will be my last post on this issue in this thread..sorry.

Default quick add fx problem

Hello people,

I currently switched to the new 5.70 version of reaper and I seem to have this little problem, that quick add fx menu doesn't show some of the plugins in my custom folders, even some of the folder are missing there, though everything is fine in the add fx window....any ideas? Thanks!

There's a major CPU problem with 5.7 I downgraded to 5.61 (because that version apparently does not have the video leak fix).
And all works as before.
I got long lasting CPU spikes up to 25% and resulted in glitches.
I couldn't find a problem in my setup or file dough, even with all tracks muted the problem was there.
I have 1 mp3 audio track, 2 synths and 1 video track,...

With version 5.61 it only goes up to 5% !
