Default No "Take Media Source Properties" dialog box

I have renamed a media file and want to rename a media item accordingly but when I open the "Media Item Source Properties" dialog box there's no option to choose the "Take Source Properties" as stated in the manual.

Exempt from the manual:
7.18 Take Source Properties
The Take media source section of the Media Item Properties dialog box can be used to view the properties of the currently selected take, or to change or rename its source file.

What have a missed?

For renaming a media item, have a look at the Take name field in the Item Properties (Item > Item properties) - which is a different dialog than the Source properties.
More info in Chapter 7.6 Media Item Properties.

Another option is via the Project Bay (View > Project Media/FX Bay).

Thanks a lot, doing it via the Project Bay worked well.

The field "Active Take" in the "Media Item Properties" is however not editable so that one didn't work.

Anyway, I'm now happy to have discovered the Project Bay, a part of Reaper which I haven't considered earlier.

Thanks again !!

The documentation is correct.

As stated above, this option is in the Media Item Properties dialog box, at the bottom. I suspect you might have found the heading misleading. I'll see if I can reword it for the next release

I'm coming back on this issue. My Media Item Properties looks like the attached file, i.e. the Take Properties part is missing. Is there a setting somewhere that I have missed?

Looks like you've possibly resized it which makes some options hidden.

Hover mouse over bottom edge, you should see vertical double headed arrow as mouse cursor? Click and drag down.
