Separate inputs for different tracks

Hi

I have two inputs on my USB Dual pre audio interface.

One connected to an SM 57 mic
And another to my guitar

I just wanted to understand how I can have two
separate tracks with one recording only the mic
input and the other track only recording the guitar

I don’t know how to configure this setting in the track.

Right click on the little red button on each track left of track name
You will need individually for each track to select:

Monitor input
Record input (audio or MIDI)
then Input mono and select 1 for first track, 2 for second track
