Thank you for looking into this.

The XY makes everything disappear because they have defaulted to 0.
Ignore this advise and switch them off so surface is whole.
Have you downloaded the latest version and tried that - it might fix your problem.
EDIT: strip files should all be stored in strips folder in the LBXCS_resources folder! are they hidden for some reason? Try showing all files in explorer?

sweet dreams lb0
seem a bugglet in latest version
with the learn function open
it keeps putting the same control in the GUI, even after moving a diff knob on the FX
works as expected to just drag in from list

The new 'Displayed Value OFFSET' works like a charm !
[note: I will still post this issue in the Beta forum, and would like to quote the message from lb0 in regards to this.] They will likely acknowledge the issue, but the time frame for fix might fall low-priority, as we are in heavy BETA rotation there, with updates and new releases.
With this new lb0 update, the accuracy is absolutely fine for the important ranges. The extremes [particularly the -192] is not even a factor.
thanks for the new feature !

Thanks!
Working fine for me here - pulling in learned params and from the list just fine.
Do you have the latest version? Or is this with the latest version (about 30 mins ago).
DOH -i should read - latest version you already said!!

Ok - seems a few issues with the learn function to iron out. Will come back to this tomorrow...
If you are able to give me any extra specifics - might be useful - thanks.

Yeah this can wait till later, go get some sleep.
I did notice something else;
If there is no param. selected in the list, dragging from the learn box drops the first param from the list, however if a different param. such as 3 is selected then dragging from learn inserts the one that is selected, but still not the actual one that was learned.
Have a good night.

Amazing what a sleep can do. Just found another glaring mistake when adding the parameter from the learn box that I'm sure would be causing your problem.
Please try the latest version.
In all my testing (not good testing in this case)- I've only been dragging in parameters from different tracks to the selected one (as this was one of the main use cases for the learn function). I hadn't thought to check it with parameters from the same track as is selected!! I'm a complete idiot sometimes!! heh.
Anyway - I've got my fingers crossed...

Not a waste at all. I'm just so glad this wonderful tool exists and I'm more then willing to help in bug squishing.
One question, are there any plans for adding item fx support?

Nice shot lb0 L working as it should now... thanks so much
it really is a great help, especially with some FX that give obscure names to their functions
one niggle idea for it... right now to get out of learn mode we hit the L again... [correct?] wonder if a rt clk on the learn window could be another way to close it? Just a thought..

Double click
Does Double-click to return to the default value could be integrated? This will be very useful and in line with Reaper!

At the moment Ctrl-click. I could probably do double-click - but it's more logic.

New update - includes right-click on learn window to close.
Also added Range knobs to adjust working range of controls. Say you only ever want -6 to 6 db of gain boost on your fav eq - easy now
+minor bug fixes
Still plan to allow you to increase the max value - so you can access the extra 6db on certain Rea* plug controls.

just to say, Cntrl Clk is the standard way in almost all plugins to return to the center of the knob or slider..
reapers dbl clk on stuff is handy but not normal as far as FX's go...
what will today bring? %^)

yeah - i know how to do double-click, but it's more hassle until I absolutely run out of other easy modifiers.
I've noticed (especially with Rea* plugs) that often things like 0 gain on the EQ do not point straight up since I did the normalize update. If you really must have them straight up - you can use the range knobs to ensure 0 is up. Eg. on ReaEQ - you need to limit the maximum to 6db. I don't really understand all these strange log scales that ReaEQ et all use - so this is the best I can do.
Other VST EQ's (Melda, Acon etc) all seem to work fine - as their ranges are normally +-X db (ie. the same amount of boost as cut available).

latest version testing and working well ...
note: I did have to reset the 'display value offset'. The -6 over ride I had, became -12 [on the LBX GUI only, VST was still at 0] ... I re-did the offset.
Save/re-loaded .... working!

Just a note - I think changing the range of a control will play havoc with any cycle button settings if the control is a cycle button type. But I guess there's normally no need to set the range for a cycle button. I could fix this but really I need to change storing the normalized values and instead store the denormalized values... Something for a rainy day eh??!

This update includes Memory Button control type - RJ's request (if I understood correctly)
Basically this button when activated - switches the target parameters value to the default value for the button control. But when deactivated - it switches back to the previous value. If you change the parameter before switching back - it will deactivate...
Use with 2 frame on/off type knobs. Works well with hopi's lovely light up leds, as well as my flat yellow circle buttons.
Hopefully I've understood you correctly RJ . Let me know if it needs tweaking.
Let me know of any quirks or bugs with it - or indeed anything else...
Cheers,
L.
Also added - but thinking of improving: Right-click on defval slider in ctl options to set defval to current parameters value. Only down side is you need to switch between Live and Edit modes to change the parameter value if it's not in the right place (or you could just set it in teh plugin window i guess).
EDIT: Boring video of the new button type: https://youtu.be/ODwtVVWdj5o

* ... just to say I wasn't saying rt clk to set a knob to it's default should be added... was saying cntrl clk is normal and fine with me...
I do have a question though:
Ok I save a strip, give it a name [we have to do that right?]
OK then make a few changes to it.. and save it again... now I'm again asked to give it a name... I don't understand this... would think if that strip is the currently selected strip, SAVE STRIP would just re-save to it...
can anyone clear me up on how all this is intended to work?

Thank you!
here is new one..
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Dq_ea4-RYY
i was trying to capture snapshots via action
(Automation: Write current values for all writing envelopes to time selection)
the thing is:
moving controls and adding to time line as automation (Latch Preview mode)
was fine in whole project
then i switch automation mode to read to listen if they work properly
then tried to switching again
latch preview mode to change a few parameters in some locations
but none of the knobs was moving anymore...
also tried in other write- touch and latch ... no luck.
they moves only in global bypass all envelopes mode
but i couldn't find the way to write that positions to envelopes...
is this is normal / expected behavior ?
edit..
this Latch Preview thing very new to me..
so just being to be sure
i tried in an empty project just one microtonic without using stripper
seems moving parameters from plugin's interface and from envelope lines works with no problem.
again sorry if i push to wrong direction unnecessarily.
edit2..
forgot to say i didn't update to latest one (using one version earlier.. from yesterday)

installed latest one and tested more about the automation mode issue that i try to describe above and i found you need to keep open all envelope lines if you switch
"Envelope: Toggle show all active envelopes for all tracks"
to off once,
knobs not moving anymore,
only way is re loading project without save!
i don't know if its just because of the Reaper's automation logic...
if so, sorry and please just ignore my report!
..as always Thank you so much for creating this beauty!

Yeah - I've found some odd behaviour using envelopes and Latch Preview with Chaos engine. I think what's meant to happen is that if you have a automation envelope recorded - in LP mode - it follows the envelope until you adjust a knob for that parameter - then it follows your knob movements instead. not sure it always does this as expected.... will need to remind myself what happens though...
EDIT: I'm not really doing anything special in stripper apart from sending and receiving parameter automation. I would say any odd behaviour is probably external. (but will try out see if i have the same issue).

The main issue here is that i haven't prepopulated the save strip box with current strip name. Thing is - you could pull many individual plug strips into one multi plug strip - then you've loaded several strips into one tracks grid - so which does the script offer to save as (when in truth - you probably want to save it as a completely new strip anyway). This was how i envisioned it being used. You created strips for all your favourite plugins - eq,s comps, reverbs etc. Each of these you would save as it's own strip. Then you can use these fx component strips and drag them into a blank track to create a multi plug strip - once you like what you've got - you can save as a complete channel strip. Barely any dragging in of individual parameters anymore...
Of course, as Timbral and others have shown - you can use it in entirely different ways too...

New update.
~Added double-click (yes double-click - I bothered to work it out ) - but not for default value - instead to open Edit Value box.
Should work for all controls that contain a numeric value as part of their displayed value. If there is no numeric part - or you type in a non-numeric value - it will do nothing.
I can swap the double-click action to do default value if people prefer, and swap the Edit Value box to Ctrl-click. Whatever the general consensus is.
Hopefully it works in all situations for you. It has in my testing.
Please note - it works by setting the parameter by cycling through 0-1 - reading param display value - then as soon as it hits a returned value > required value - it switches back to previous value less than - and works on the next decimal place (for the normalized value). Keeps doing this until it matches the value or runs out of decimal places (I've limited it to 50 at the moment) If it can't exactly match the value - it returns closest match. Normally the limiting factor is the plugin - which won't allow every value between x and y, so if the value is available - you can set it.
If you are running audio when doing this - you may get very tiny audio artifacts as it sweeps the values - but I've not noticed anything in my tests as it runs very very fast.
EDIT: probably need to tweak it for when display offset values are set.
EDIT2: tweaked and updated to work when display offset values are set for a control.
