Default Cant use Keyboard

Hi, I am able to install new vsts and choose them in reaper, but when I want to play, the software does not respond to to what I try to play, although I enabled my MIDI Controller (I also tried to use the reaper keyboard).
Can anybody pls help me with this issue? Also, my task bar starts to change its structure very fast every time I open reaper and use it, maybe it has something to do with it...?

You need to provide more information, for anyone to help you.

What VST are you using?

is your controller a keyboard?

do you see any activity (VU meters movement) when you use your controller?

Try to first watch Kenny's videos

Is your keyboard showing up at all as an input in the midi devices section? Is your keyboard showing as "enabled" for both input and control in the midi devices section of preferences? It should be if you can select it as the midi input device when you "right click" the record button. Good Luck

Hi Robert,

I want to use the vsts provided by analog lab V from Arturia, I can also select Analog lab as a Vst in Reaper, but I am not able to use any vsts, the ones from Cockos can be opened, but I am not able to play them, neither with the controller nor the included keyboard from reaper.
I am using my minilab mk II from Arturia as a controller, which also includes a keyboard.
When I use the keyboard, it responds to my actions, for example lights go on when I play on it. But it never transfers to the laptop when I use Reaper, if I experiment in Analog lab V, it works fine. I hope my question makes more sense now! I know I sound like a newbie haha

Watch this video to see if you have everything connected correctly.

Also the "analog lab V" needs to be the first VST in your track for it to work correctly.

Cockos VST's do not Create any sound, place them after your analog lab VST

Run through the check-list in the Reaper User Guide, section 3,.41

Nobody mentioned suggesting that you make sure the send channel on your keyboard is the same as the receive channel on the VSTi. Check they are the same.
