Default Only some Envelope points move?

Hello everyone. I've been pulling my hair out trying to move some audio with automation. Thanks to this forum I found the "move envelope points with media item" option and that made MOST everything work. I'm automating an effect in guitar rig, if that matters. Most of the envelope points move now but 3 points stay in place, wrecking the effect I spent too long setting up. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I deleted and re-added (using alt-click to delete and ctrl-click to create) the offending points and they still don't move.

Here are screenshots before and after the move. Thank you so much in advance for any help with this!

Try enabling Ripple Editing Per Track, then set it back to disabled when done.

Thank you so much for the help. I'll be spending a lot of time watching Reaper videos on YouTube this year. I've only been using a minuscule portion of Reaper's capabilities. Time to step it up!

Looking at the first post, it seems as though the points which stay fixed are the ones not directly under the media item before it moves, which makes sense if you think about it. How is Reaper supposed to know which automation points to move with a particular item if they're not in the same time range?

It would be great it Reaper let you lasso items and automation points together to move them "manually" in this way, but I don't think it does (at least, I can't see how).

In the meantime, Ripple is your friend. When you move an item, it will also move everything to the right of that item by the same amount so they stay in their relative positions. You can do this either only affecting things on the same track(s) as what you move, or on all tracks. Beware that if you have an automation point just BEFORE the item you move, it will not Ripple, so you may still have some tidying up to do.

Ripple editing is a very odd and cumbersome way to solve this problem.
What if you do not want the later audio to move?

In Pro Tools, you just copy and paste, or marquee and move - done.
All of the automation is pasted exactly how it was.

On a long project I would have disasters doing this with ripple editing on.

This is a bug - and a very glaring one at that.

I agree - you should be able to lasso automation and items together.
