Update dialog box no longer seems to appear

From time to time I restore my computer from a backup image. Takes only about 30 seconds so it's real easy. In the past when I've re-installed Reaper upon opening it for the first time Reaper has always presented me with that dialog box that says "Update version 2.55 is available..."

I've always declined the offer cuz I'm content with version 2.50.

Now I notice that when I restore my machine and reload Reaper that dialog box no longer presents itself. Kinda weird.

Is there some kind of mechanism built-in to Reaper or something that when you decline X amount of times it's programmed to no longer bug you about it?

Just wondering about this.
