Default Adequate Hardware

I've used Reaper for several years - very pleased. I've recently had the luxury of our bass player's equipment rack, but need to get my own equipment. Needs to be a laptop. Got nothing against Apple (I have an iPhone), but I'm a PC guy. Also want to run Native Instruments. Two questions:

* I have a Surface (not Surface Pro) with 4 GB Ram. It's small and convenient for
travel, but does it have the power to run Reaper, Komplete, and Superior Drummer
comfortably?

* If not, suggestions? good options? observations?

Thank you

I have a Sony Vaio Duo 11 from 2012 with 4GB RAM and an i5 3317 CPU that runs REAPER, Komplete and Superior Drummer 2 without problems. I used that for a few years as my primary DAW PC and ran some fairly complex mixes on it.
Not sure of the exact specs of your Surface but my Sony was the direct competition to Microsoft at the time.

Thanks for the reply. This has got a lesser processor (Intel Atom x7-Z8700), but seems to run Reaper just fine. Guess I'll just try it and see how it goes.
