Default Smoother, more controlled fader

Holding ctrl whilst moving a track fader gives, imo, the perfect fader 'feel' and movement/control. Is there any way to make this the default movement speed? I would love it if this movement speed could be there permanently rather than having to hold ctrl down.

Of course by default the picture on the screen needs to directly follow the mouse pointer. That is the native concept of any GUI.

AFAIK, there are mouse devices that feature additional buttons that are programmable. I suppose adding ctrl to one of the buttons should be an obvious option.

That makes sense. What would be nice is an option to make the ctrl+click speed the default speed though.
