Default BSOD on Reaper start - audiodg.exe and MixControl?

I just had a BSOD on a Reaper start...pretty freaky.

Situation (I think):

1. My Scarlett 18i6 defaults to 48k most of the time (for streaming, etc., I can't really find a way to get around this).
2. I was working on this month's mix contest, which is 44.1k
3. Was having problems with playback (no playback) and got an error message about the audiodg.exe process or something.
4. Closed Reaper (no other programs running).
5. Opened Scarlett MixControl and set the sample rate to 44.1k
6. Opened Reaper, BSOD

On restart, everything seems fine.
I did have a similar problem with Sonar not playing well with any other programs open that might play audio, so I was mindful about this exact kind of sample rate clash, but at the worst it would behave like Reaper did initially, no playback. I never had a BSOD with Sonar though...
Now I know that I'll have to be careful with Reaper in the same way (so far I've been working in it at 48k and haven't had any problems until now), but a BSOD?

Maybe this might be helpful: www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLC4qaJR5_o

Otherwise you might try to investigate the BSOD error code further:

I think it would have...I'm in no rush to recreate the circumstances as everything's working fine now, but next time I have problems I'll remember this, thanks.

Windows 7?

There's a memory leak in audiodg.exe.

Windows 10. I did see that about 7 when I was researching the audiodg thing. I think there's some kind of conflict between Reaper, Scarlett MixControl, and other applications that stream audio (Spotify, YouTube). The streamers need to use 48k, which is fine and great, and most of the time I don't have any trouble going back and forth between them and Reaper at 44.1k. Just every once in awhile...
