Reaper 3.104 OSx bug VSTi registration: no keyboard + no paste function
Reaper 3.104
Mac OSx 10.5.8
initial condition: EZDrummer not yet registered (find out after that same happened with Superior 2)
1/ create new track
2/ click the fx button
3/ load "VSTi: dfh sampler (toontrack) (16 out)" it is EZDrummer
4/ registration window load
-> no keyboard available to type the registration key
-> pasting the key from textedit leads to "No item in clipboard to paste!" when (cmd+v)
This plugin was previously registered Ok with older version of reaper, now I can't use EZDrummer anymore :/
EDIT: I just tested with Superior Drummer 2 and I have the same problem
REMARK: I don't know why I have to register my plugins again but it happened to me already, so it doesn't surprise me.
Same problem happened to a friend of mine.

Confirmed Here
dfs Sampler OK but, I too have the same issue with Superior Drummer 2 - does not happen with other DAWs. Otherwise, excellent software - considering dumping Logic....
OSX 10.6.1
Reaper 3.104

Too bad you're on Mac. On Windows we just right-click and go Paste then, and there is no such issue.
I think that this could be solved, on the other hand, because Reaper's FX window steals Ctrl+C(,V,X) in this case, and that's why the authorisation key never gets through to the VSTi. It is solvable, just needs attention from JCS.

I just received EZdrummer today (January 2) and I am having the same problem. Yes, I'm on a Mac. Has a solution been posted yet?
I'm new to Reaper and would like to get started asap.
Thanks

Can you right click (or control+click) in the registration text field? perhaps you can paste via that...

No, that didn't work. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Have you tried downloading Toontrack Solo and registering it in that rather than from in Reaper?
Might work!

My workaround: I always use other hosts to load new plugins first time, since keyboard input and copy/paste always seem problematic in Reaper OS X. Same for patch design.
