Default Zoom L-20 input problem

I use Zoom L-20, but I cannot see the input channels. Have downloaded the driver from Zoom website and installed it several times. When I open Reaper and go to options/preferences/audio/audio device settings, I cannot see nothing else but default system devices, speakers MacBook and microphone MacBook. What next?

I don't know the L-20, but according to the manual it requires to also set the mode switch on the back of the unit to AUDIO INTERFACE (besides installing the drivers).
See 'Connecting to a computer' on page 76: https://zoomcorp.com/media/documents...tionManual.pdf

This mode also seems to be limited to sampling rates below 96 kHz:

And if you're on Mojave or higher: make sure that Reaper is enabled in the mic privacy settings of macOS: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT209175

🤔I have selected AUDIO INTERFACE and sample rate is 44100, I tried 48000 too. I followed Zoom website, downloaded Mac driver, checked connections. I have macOS Big Sur 11.2.2.

I have tried to find a solution to make the inputs but it seems to be too hard for me. Hopefully somebody can solve this. I am a quite new to MacBook. I downloaded the driver and followed the instructions. Do I need to do something else to make it work?(a certain place/folder for the driver)

It sounds like you need to give Reaper access to sound input by gong to

System preferences/Seciruty & privacy

Click on the mic icon to give Reaper access.

BTW, solger already mentioned this...

Do any of the Zoom in/outputs show up in the Audio MIDI Setup page of macOS? https://support.apple.com/guide/audi...s59f301fda/mac

EDIT:

I just found this on the Zoom webpage about compatibility with Big Sur (from October 2020): https://zoomcorp.com/en/us/news/macos_bigsur/:
Quote:
Audio Interface function may not work correctly for the following products:

LiveTrak series: L-8, L-12, L-20, L-20R (* Works properly in Class Compliant mode)
..
So if you haven't already, try setting the CLASS COMPLIANT MODE switch on the back of the unit to ON to see if this makes any difference.

Here's also a more recent compatibility info from January 2021 (which mentions the same as above when using M1 chip-based Macs): https://zoomcorp.com/en/jp/news/macos_bigsur/

I switched the class compliant mode and now I can see the inputs! Thank you! I did not try that because in the manual was so that the switch is for iOS devices.
