Panning tracks within a folder

Hi,
i have folder with 2 tracks within it panned left and right - as i wish to use the same amp for both tracks i have added amp vst to the folder (rather than the 2 individual tracks) however i can no longer pan the individual tracks; it only lets me pan the folder - is there a setting i can change to allow me to pan the individual tracks?
any help greatly appreciated - thanks

Most amp sims will have a setting for Stereo specifically for this purpose - at the moment, you're basically putting both guitars into a single "mono" amp.

thanks - using the stereo vst as opposed to the mono/stereo vst seems to have sorted it.
