Sort plugins by priority does not work
Since version 6.77, sorting plugins by priority does not work.
In priority 1, I select VST3 and it doesn't change anything in the search results.
I'm on Windows 10 64 and Reaper 6.78.

Which plug-ins? It requires the plug-ins to be named the same, slight variations are not eliminated (you can manually rename them to be the same though if you like, then some should disappear)

Just to be sure we're talking about the same option, here are the steps I'm doing here:
1. I create a track and open the FX window.
2. In the Option menu, in the submenu (Duplicate plug-ins of different types) in (First priority) I select VST3.
3. (Second priority), I select VST2.
4. (Third priority), I select CLAP.
So, in the search filter of the FX window, if I write "verb", if I understand correctly, I should have all the plugins whose name contains the word verb, in VST3 format in priority 1, i.e. all at the top of the list of results, then the plugins in VST2 format, then those in CLAP format, then the LV2 format.
But here, the search filter does not seem to take priorities into consideration.
Before, this feature worked fine.

No, you got it all wrong. This is for exact same plugins with exact same names, which you have installed in different formats.

I know, that's exactly what I explain in my post. It does not work. Your explanation or mine makes no difference.
If I write waves plate in the search filter, the first result is in VST2 format, the second is the same plugin but in VST3 format.
Still, that's not the order of priority I've selected.
I tested on my 2 machines and I have the same result.

Can you paste here both names? You can get name by choosing FX in FX browser and pressing F2 (it's for renaming, but you can get name).
Doesn't it work only for Waves?
