Default MIDI CC lane automation (multiple points vertically)

Hey there,

I've been struggling with the midi cc. I find it easier to use than regular automation for small things.

I've been trying to put 2 points on 1 beat. When done, the highest cc point will be deleted and moved to the bottom.

I've searched the forums and saw a post that said it fixed it for them, however when I tried it didn't seem to work for me (even after a restart). I also used the search feature in the preferences and wasn't really able to find a solution.

I've attached a gif of what the issue is. Sorry for the bad quality, but it gets the job done.

Thanks for the help!

CC data overlaps, so one of them will be deleted.
If you want to move the rear CC to the beat, you should select both the front CC and move it later.
The end result is that there are 2 CCs with very short intervals.
The same is true in other DAWs. After exporting MIDI, you will find that there are actually very small gaps between CC's in the same vertical position.
So you need to change some habits in reaper.

Adding to what is said above you may want to turn this option ON

Then dragging a point over another places it right next to it
