How to improve PDF export for 95% of our daily use
Mac OS 10.15.7
Reaper 6.77
Hello Justin,
I realized that PDF export can be very very useful on a daily basis to write simple things, which is 95% of the cases we have of using a PDF export from a score editor, but currently, it is not very useful.
what we need
- write a melody on a single staff
- write the chords above
- write lyrics
- Be able to indicate repeat bars
- write an improvisation by a jazzman, for example, with appoggiaturas
I think that's all we need to meet 95% of the daily requirement. that's enough
What needs to be fixed
To be totally usable, it would require the few improvements described in the screenshots below.
1 - The lyrics must not mix with the notes
2 - the distance between the lyrics and the notes must be the same between the PDF file and the editor in REAPER.
3 - Grace notes must be beamed
4 - grace notes at the very beginning of a measure must be written at the very beginning of a measure and not at the end of the previous measure.
5 - Grace note accidentals must be the same size as grace notes
6 - Repeat bars must be at the very beginning of the measure and at the very end of the measures concerned, and must be the size of the width of the staff
