Default CC automation lane: show point value

Coming from other DAWs, I'm really missing the ability so see the value of any given automation point. I have searched high and low for this, but there appears to be no way of seeing the value of an automation point in the CC lane in the MIDI item editor in Piano Roll mode.

In Logic, the values were right there on the grid, but I would be happy for a status bar that showed the value on hover or drag. As it is, the only way to see the value is to right-click, and view the point's properties.

This actually depends on the theme youre using, but it is possible to check the value by moving the edit cursor around. Its visible in the TCP in many themes.

Edit: Whoops! Thought you meant the automation lanes for some reason.

IIRC, MIDI CC value is shown on mouse hover in top right of piano roll, above the keyboard.

You can also use juliansader's MIDI Inspector script.

I am so blind. I see it now. Thank you. I still prefer it to be in the grid so I can see what I am doing without glancing up and down, but this is good enough for now.
