Default "Glue Items Within Time Selection" doesn't quite work

Trying to take a 9 song master, and Glue within time selection and I get 3 random chunks. When I try to glue those 3 chunks they won't glue. Very odd.

Are these items placed on one track? Glueing doesn't work across tracks.

- Make sure all the songs are on 1 Track
- Then apply this Action: Item: Glue items

Does this help ?

Yep, they are on 1 track. I select all items on the 1 track and try both "glue items" and "glue items within time selection." It always breaks it up into strange chunk sizes, like 3.5 songs for 1 chunk, 2.4 songs for another etc.

Then when I select those 3 chunks and try to glue them they won't glue. Definitely a bug.

Here it is. New master today, same problem. The split seems to be around the same spot every time (at least the 1st one) which is 23:21 or so. In the video I use the glue command and then try to re-glue the 2 sections that didn't glue.

So definitely a bug right? My workaround is to just glue smaller chunks before opening in Izotope RX for SRC.

Why don't you just glue them? Could you please share us this simple project, so I'll try to (not) replicate the bug?

This is the issue. Check out the imgur I linked to. It won't glue chunks over 24 minutes long.

Maybe-
In Preferences/Audio/Recording there is a setting to start new files at x Megabytes.

Ok, sorry. I thought Consolidating is not glueing. Just tried here and had the same.

Which in that case would be really confusing cause glueing is not the same as recording imho

Yes, if it really influences on glueing, it should be named correctly. Let's wait for thermos' response.

No haha, I was definitely glueing. BUT FnA was right! I set the new files at X megabytes to 2.5 gb and it worked!
