Default Auto select track after double click (Activate MIDI item)

Auto select track after double click (Activate MIDI item)

If I double click to note Reaper select Item but does not choose (select) the track.

This is a problem when I want to start recording to this item (track) or when I want to play on the midi keyboard with this sound.

I recorded a small video.
At the end of the video, I show how this should work (the track is selected with the item).

P.S. It would be very good that this option Reaper was still as a separate action (Activate MIDI item under mouse cursor). When the mouse pointer is over the note, we run the action and it selects the item in which this note is located and select the track.

You can have two different actions for single and double click actions for top and bottom of item in preferences/mouse modifiers. These can even trigger custom actions, so you should be able to come up with a way that works for you. E.g. I have single click bottom half of media item set to action "select track under mouse." So even if I double click, it's selecting the track. But not when I double click on the top half.
