Automatic numbering of exported samples as in Cubase
Hi!
I have been asking for a long time to make this function necessary for sound designers (and indeed for everyone who needs it). Just do it like in Cubase so that you don't change the exported loop / sample number every time you export 500 samples ...
Thanks!
Den.

Zmey79,
maybe some clever use of the "Project Order > $filenumber" or "Media item Information > $itemnumber" wildcards in Render dialog?

Thanks.
This is not at all what i need. It is necessary like this: after rendering Clap_1, the number 1 automatically changes to 2, and so on.

To be true, I don't understand your workflow.
Do you mean that 1st time you render it will be Clap_1, then if you made later (e.g. another day) some changes and render again, you want it to render as Clap_2.
Or something absoultely different?

He wants an automatic increment by providing the first sample as a „wild card“.
I’m pretty sure this is already possible tho. Not at my DAW right now.

For the second set of sounds, notice that they are all on the same region. Since we want to render each variation, we could create a region for each but in this case, it may be easier to just use the “selected media items” render mode and simply select them. We can still use the region name and/or number in our naming formula if we wish. In this case, there is no need. So we could use: $project_$track_$timelineorder[00]. That last bit of the formula would number each item sequentially, as they appear on the timeline, starting with “00” and then going up like “01, 02, 03…” and so on.

this does not work. I would just have a choice in the render window, as in the Cubase:
"Automatically update file name".

Check "Silently increment filenames to avoid overwriting" option. Bottom of Render window

Thanks,
I tried. It adds -001,002 and so on to the filename. This is also not at all the same.

Yes, you want the batch rename feature?
I have just finished a set of batch renaming scripts, which refer to Wwise's Batch Rename feature, and can perform renaming on a large number of audio resources very quickly. The scripts work on take, region, marker, track, and region manager depending on the category.
You can add my ReaPack Repo : https://github.com/zaibuyidao/ReaScr...ster/index.xml
Filter search : zaibuyidao batch rename
You will find all batch rename scripts.
zaibuyidao_Batch Rename Region.lua
zaibuyidao_Batch Rename Region Manager.lua
zaibuyidao_Batch Rename Take.lua
zaibuyidao_Batch Rename Track.lua
and more.
