Default editing audio

Hi, I am new to reaper but have used sonar for several years so I have a little experience. I am unable to figure out how to edit audio on a small scale-for example if I have an audio track that is ok but the volume of one of the notes needs to be adjusted-in sonar you can highlight the individual note or even a portion of the note and make an adjustment in the volume either up or down(without using an envelope or the fader. I cant figure out how to do this in reaper.

Any help with this question will be most appreciated

thanks
flojo

Flojo, go to the Reaper forums. You are in the wrong one.
