Searched and didn't see this listed but forgive me if it was:
x86 except a couple x64. windows only (at the moment)
Vsti's and a few effects.
Haven't tried anything except the TS-1 tape sim plugin and the Pultec emu's and they're decent. never know though.

I've been to this site in the past...heaps of stuff, good if you're looking for something a bit unusual, BUT just downloaded a couple of things...WARNING..after the download the page changes into some sort of scam page (unrelated to the plugins) with clickable links that maybe lead to something nasty. Such a shame.
EDIT: I've changed the above to reflect slipstick's input below.

That's just Mediafire's rather in-your-face advertising. It's not a real problem, just close the ad page and carry on.

I spent some money, but I couldn't be happier. I grabbed Stillwell's Rocket ($25 for a Reaper-only license) and Valhalla's UberMod.
Cakewalk's CA-2A is a free alternative to VBL.
Also, a great free delay is Daniel Arena's "Floaty" JS plugin:

http://sonic.supermaailma.net/plugins
JSFX versions of the plugins on this page will work on OSX. The plugins you'd want to try as substitutes for those you mentioned:
Leet Delay 2
HBC-2
S.LA.X
They won't be identical, but they're good. If you pushed the VoS compressors hard with lots of distortion, you might not care about these compressors. Thing is, you can always add coloration in a separate plugin. And for that aspect, I'd say try some of these:
http://www.airwindows.com/category/vst/
For that matter there are some compressors in that last link which are really nice.
I had used VoS stuff but now I use a combination of these 2 sets of plugins instead.
Oh also there are some JSFX compressors included in Reaper which you might like. Search for the Stillwell JSFX that are included. Here are some compressors in there:
Fairly Childish
Express Buss
Major Tom
1175
Remember that you can run them in parallel by using the wet/dry mix in the FX window and also by setting up separate busses.

taa guys,
had been testing out many of the airwindows stuff before i switched and forgot about them until the other day, so examining those, and i'm pretty familiar by now with all the JS goodies just liked the saturation Vos had going on and fact thrill' stayed clean for ages.
used rocket years ago on trial and did cross my mind, should try it on my massively improved monitoring.
will investigate uber mod and the delays on offer. DLA was quick to get something nice, even if it was responsible for more crashes on my pc than it should have!
will notify on any revelations of course.
did have a few sonic anomoly installed amongst the crowd on the pc, i recall them being ok! but you know how it is, easy to wander off and forget them even if good.

"Ambient Reverb"
The free high-quality reverberator of "Ambient Reverb" is intended first of all for operation with sound material in a ambient genre, though with success it can be applied also in other musical styles and the directions.
Distinctive feature of a plug-in is the broad range of reverberation time (up to 100 seconds) that allows to receive types of reverberation, different on character, and also an opportunity in a literal sense to freeze sounds, at the same time to receive interesting sound pads, like Frippertronics. The reverberator of "Ambient Reverb" works by the principle of algorithmic reverberation with calculation enough the dense sound reflections on time, allowing to receive realistic reverberation without effect of granularity.
16 factory presets
Two band parametric equalizer
Indicator and knobs of input/output level
Low load of the central processor
The 32nd and 64th bit versions of a plug-in
Windows XP above
VST 2.4 protocol
Windows 32/64-bit (XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10)
http://stone-voices.ru/vst/ambient_reverb?lang=en
****
Just gave it a test drive. Tried it on a guitar and a vocal track.
Very very impressed! No... Wait, I need to add one more VERY.
First thing I noticed was, OMGosh do I really have control over all these parameters? Like pre-delay was not enough, now I have control over Left and Right!
And you mean I have a nob for early and late?
Three nobs for Damping? But I'm used to having one... lol
Ahhhh there is the nob for WET. But, I'm at 0db so what is it not 100% dry? What if I turn the early and late reflections to 0 db? Got it! Now it's all dry.
Spring REverb? Ohhh really? Let's try it on vocals, just for fun.
Ohhhhh hooooooo... I think I'm in love!
LOL
****
I found this plugin because I was having some issues with ReaVerb *some strange cpu stuff and frittering, delaying, bugging * -- I never thought I could find a non IR reverb to replace my favorite VocalRoom in ReaVerb setting, but... Clocking in at 1.0 cpu, "Ambient Reverb" had got my attention.
Could this become my new go to reverb plugin to cover the basics on all instruments? Only time will tell, but I'm gonna give it a try.

Speaking of which, I would love a Mac version (and an upgraded 64 bit version) of Elottronix XL, a great free "Frippertronics" emulator. I don't believe it's updated anymore:

VCV Rack - Open Source Modular Synth.
VCV Rack
This is a standalone application but it can be synchronized with a DAW using LoopMIDI for example.
It's early beta and as of now it's a resource hog on my very humble machine but it's tons of fun.

VCV sounds wonderful, and has a lot of cool free modules, but after 48 hours of tinkering, I still can't get the audio from it routed back into Reaper. The MIDI was easy enough with loopMIDI, but I'm stuck on the audio signal routing.

Haven't actually tried that yet but thx for the heads-up.
A VSTi wrapper of some sorts is in the works I read somewhere.

After reading the instructions carefully, and turning on track monitoring (this is the really important thing), it works rather well.
Now I just have to work out what all the modules do and how best to use them.

1. Set up loopMIDI and start it. Click the add button if there isn't a connection already in the window.
2. Start Reaper, add a track, and set the source to ReaRoute 1. Click the button to turn on monitoring unless you want to feel like a fool later the way I did.
3. Add a Virtual Instrument track with MIDI transpose as the instrument. Go to routing and set it to loopMIDI.
4. Set both of those tracks to record mode.
5. Start VCV.
6. Set VCV's MIDI input to loopMIDI.
7. Set VCV's audio output to ASIO/ReaRouteASIO.
8. Patch your audio to output one in the VCV window, and you ought to hear it piped back into Reaper.
To send audio out to Rack for processing, just choose ReaRoute as an audio hardware output, and select the matching channel in Rack's audio interface module.

I still haven't had any luck sending audio out to be processed by VCV, but I will have more time to try after this term ends.

Thank you!

The Best Free VST Plugins of 2017:
https://bedroomproducersblog.com/201...-plugins-2017/
I don't put a lot of stock in these end-of-the-year lists. But I did download SoundSpot's FAT Filter to try out.
Also, congrats to our own Sonic Anomoly, whose Unlimited plugin is #2 in the VST effects list.

Got it and tested --- even at 200% it did not give a negative correlation. Sounds really good.
Polyverse launch free mono-compatible Wider plug-in.
Get stereo width without sacrificing your mono mix.
Wider’s pseudo stereo effect lets you turn any mono signal into stereo but any signal that has been extended will always remain in phase with itself, even if summed to mono — something that’s critically important given the wide variety of mono playback platforms out there.

Thanks very much for this.
I am interested to see how it compares with the free Vacuumsound ADT.

Very good free drum plug in called Sitala.
Unlike most other drum vst's , you can load your own samples, drag and drop works too.
16 pads. Very easy to use. Cool

Well worth the hoops you have to jump through:
https://www3.ssw.co.jp/en/products.asp?sno=47
The compressor's especially good.
It involves installing a licensing manager that's a bit convoluted but it is worth it imo.

See what you mean about the hoops! It decided that I didnt want the Win version & told me I had ordered the Mac version, then told me I couldnt download it unless I logged in (again) and then entered my product number, which was supposed to be in the email confirming my account. The number in that email was rejected, which was when I decided to give up and add on to your post as a warning to others. Tried to use their contact us button and they want all the same registration/login information over again.
They may make decent plugins but they need a new webmaster.

It's probably the worst hoop jumping I've ever experienced for a plugin. I'm not sure I did the right thing in recommending it now. The product number was rejected a few times for me until I figured out where it wanted it (I think it was 'register' rather than 'activate' on their licenser?).

Well I finally got it installed. FFS! Even when I tried to enter the Product number it told me it was incorrect several times till I realised that when pasted, the installer was adding a space at the beginning of the product number which I had to delete before uit recognised it! Too worn out to try it, I think I am just going to emty out all those emails and uninstall the damn thing.
Totally NOT recommended. Also, one of the slowest downloads I have ever seen!
Never even got remotely close to 1mb on my fibre broadband.
