Default Create Region from Two Markers in Docked Manager?

Am I just being dense, or am I missing how to create a region by highlighting two continuous markers in the Docked Marker / Region Manager and right-clicking them to create a Region?

I know you can create a region by selecting a section on the timeline, but I'm trying not to disturb the timeline scrolling during a recording.

Thanks

Use SWS Marker Utilities/Marker List instead. Select any two of the markers on the list by shift clicking them and a time selection will be created between them on timeline. Then you can use the action Markers: Insert region from time selection (shift + R) to create a region for it.

Note: disable the Seek play, bottom of the Marker List, otherwise your playback will jump to the selected marker.

Is there anyway to get this action in the Right-Click Context menu?

One problem I am experiencing with this is that I can't edit the time of the marker, nor the number. Another problem (which is minor by comparison) is that the color isn't displayed in the list, and it seems stuck to just say "0x00000" even after changing the color from default.

Default Can't edit to zero

Is it by design that I am unable to relocate a marker (using the Docked list and double-clicking on the time) to zero? I can edit it to any other time but zero, whereby I can slide the marker to zero by click-dragging directly on it.

ok well with a combination of ideas I find this is very workable:

you can open two windows....
one is the Region/Marker Manager...
where you can edit the markers color and position nicely

the other is the SWS Marker list
where you can shift click between any two markers and get a time selection

then use the hot key for create region from time selection [mine is Shift+R]

Now that first window has check boxes to show markers or regions or both so you can also edit their names and colors right there

there is one other action to consider which is
Markers: Renumber all markers in timeline order

you might want to run that first to save confusion
there are also actions to set loop start and set loop end
so you could use the Region/Marker Manager window to go to one marker
and set the loop start then to another marker and set the loop end
and then Shift+R to create the region

All of this can go on a floating toolbar to make it work via mouse clk's

Default Select Region Area

Another thing that I'm trying to figure out is how to select the region area so as to perform "Item: Copy selected area of items" (Action ID 40060), or something similar.

I can't automate copying an area of the selected tracks if I can't identify its lower and upper limits.
