Default Quick ToneLib test

I rarely use virtual amps, but thought I'd plug a guitar and a bass in direct to my mixer and do a quick test of ToneLib for Linux. On both the guitar and bass I used cabinet IRs that came with ToneLib along with the modeled cabinet sims. No other plugins or FX are on the bass or guitar. Just one instance of ToneLib each.
It's a short 20 something second test with real drums, spanky bass and crunchy guitar to see how it might work in a real project.

I'm pretty impressed and I'm not easily impressed.

This is a recording I did for my covers band recently (We are getting a new website and new recordings). The guitars are all Tonelib-GFX, drums are SSD5 played through a Roland TDK5 kit and bass direct with eq and saturation (played by yours truly so be nice).

There's a bad punch-in at certain point which I still need to fix so don't be hard on the drummer

Mixed using stock plugins and Orilriver reverb in Linux.

Next will be recording vocals when singer comes from holidays.

That sounds great! Virtual amps and cabinets have sure come a long way. Using IRs on them helps a lot too.

Yeah I used my own IR's on them and I think that makes a world of difference.
