The best Reaper Theme?
Hi,
Can anyone tell the best Reaper theme for the eyes, I don't want anything too bright.
The best ever has to be the custom one "ASCEND" by JeffEstrada, he is still working on it however!
The best one I can find and use is LOGIC Pro Theme, all nice dark shades, and easy to navigate.
But not fantastic.
Anything white is too bright, for staring at screens all day.

Just found the one Jeff is working on as a result of this topic. That is some very nice work!!
Shameless self plug here but if you're after a hardware based theme that is easy on the eyes for long term use, that is exactly why I created my theme. The link with the downloads and screen grabs is in my signature. It incorporates the Bob Katz K-System but there's a version without the calibration stuff if you don't need it. It is all in the same download and full instructions are included.

That's pretty sharp ReaDave. I assume the neon meters are configurable ...
I'll have to try that one out

Cheers for the feedback Bob. The meters are fully configurable for scale. There's three versions for the K-System (K12, K14 and K20) with full instructions on calibrating everything and setting up the meters.
There's a fourth theme that includes non K-System graphics so the meters can be fully configured to whatever you want.

Sorry about the delay in replying. I haven't been online for the last few days.
The meter colours in my theme are determined by the png images so in order to change them, it would be necessary to make new png files.
The meter graphics actually took a fair chunk of time to create because of the extra dB markings necessary for the K-System which cannot be displayed by REAPER natively. Also, the REAPER meter scaling is pretty limited when stretched so it took a lot of tweaking to get things to line up and look half way decent.

For me the best one yet, is the iLogic v1.9. Good contrast, everything is well made. No complaints so far.

I like this fresh one by Lamda more than any other theme. It's so utilitarian and covers what I need very cleanly: https://stash.reaper.fm/theme/2063/Tracks.zip
Did some slight personal customizations to it to completely suit my working habits, but now... I don't think I'd change anything in it really.

I'm a fan of Default Nitpicky. I'll probably mod it myself to remove all the pastels (shudder)

Alter Ego 4.72 ftw.
Quite old, but so nice on the eyes.
Based on Cubase GUI.
