Thanks, done! :-) One more thing though. The Phase and FX On/Off button are rather hard to read, even when "Tint Track Panel Background" is off.

Problems with tinted track label in TCP and MCP
Hi Nick !!!
As I told you, I can see a small mismatch between the track label and the tinted zone. Is it normal ? Con you change it ?
Please..
Thanks for your job.

Hello Nick
Let me tell you that Rado 4 is great, I just installed it and i'm exploring it. Great and promissing job.
I noticed some things and I would like to share my impressions with you. I hope the result helpfull to you. All suggestions are made with great respect to your work. I don't know WALTER so if something I ask is not yet possible to do, please forgive my ignorance.
1_rate darker than loop auto:
I find nice looking but uncomfortable to see the rate control with the shading. Besides it's darker that the shading in the loop auto case.
2_loop auto lighter than rate:
I find great the highlight in the icon but not the shading/degrade. Maybe flat is better.
3_fx enable and phase better if flat:
The solo and mute buttons look very sharp, easy to see but fx enable and phase don't look nice with the shading. Better flat to my taste.
4_Volume knob too big and not sharp:
In default mixer layout, the volume knob if too big when the track is reduced to it's smallest size. besides the knob don't look sharp.
5_dark grey send level difficult to see:
The darker grey color for the send level is not easy to see, nor the knob. maybe a brighter color would be best.

6_L and R meters too separated dB scales better in one side not in the center:
I find the L and R meters too separated from each other and the dB scales don't fit very well in the center. maybe better in one side.
7_pan width vs volume fader:
Volume fader looks great, solid, sharp, but pan and width knobs look so unfinished.
8_longer names get outside of the box:
When the names are too long they get out side of the box.
I find the Master track in the MCP too wide it wastes great space, specially in a laptop. Could it be narrower?
Well that what I find at the momment. Thanks and keep that great job with Rado v4!
Ed.

I can't hide the playrate control. is that normal? are you going to fix that? I hate playrate control being visible.
Otherwise I love love looooove it!
*edit*
nothing in the show/hide options on the transport bar works. this includes:
center transport controls
show/hide playrate
show/hide time signature
and other stuffs

Want to add to the choir of THANK YOU's! Also, thanks for the directions on Preference settings. I was wondering how you got those grouped track colors in your screenshots

Just to be on the same page, i had reported about the following problem mentioned by Jed

Now, this seems to be more of how reaper handles docks and screensets ( i think )
Let me explain.
Considering the following;
option A - dock transport in main window ( default )
option B - float transport
If i choose B, Reaper remembers the size of the previous floating transport; Since the size of the transport in the default theme is smaller, it hides the controls for the rado theme.
Of course, once you resize the floating transport, Reaper remembers this size. After doing so, changing between A and B yeilds a consistent interface.
Also note that we will have to save individual screensets with the 'resized' floating toolbar information.
I hope that was clear

problems with "Scale UI elements"
Hi Nick,
I think your theme is really great. It's highly functional and at the same time easy on the eye. Truly great work!
On my (rather small) monitors the theme takes a lot of screen estate though. So I tried scaling it to 0.75 (preferences/general/advanced UI tweaks) in order to view more tracks at the same time. This works perfectly for the TCP, but in the mixer the elements are all other the place (see screenshot). Can anyone help me with that?

Nick, have you plans about porting this theme to Reaper 3.x ? Or this is impossible, and theme only for Reaper 4 ? ( i have tried on 3.x, but all mixer elements is shifted and overlapped)

I think it's not possible since REAPER 3 is not Walter compliant (and the RADO v4 theme extensively use the Walter code.)

I would also like to scale themes, but it actually never worked 100% properly to me, with any theme (v3 etc).

I don't know, after the alpha releases, we should have beta releases and release candidates.... then, the REAPER v4.0 !!!
Nick, I also found other problems on the RADO v4. :
1 - on the track panel, the pan knob is not centered with the moving short line indicating the value of the actual pan.
2 - idem with the width knob
3 - idem with the volume knob on the mixer.

Superb theme. Been using it all morning here, and it's very easy on the eyes while everything is clearly legible with just enough contrast everywhere. Oh, and the VU-meters are outstanding.
The only things I would change are:
1. Somewhat darker arrange area background colours
2. Place the FX insert button (in the TCP) on the first row, next to the solo button when a track is fully "compacted" (minimum vertical size) so that it can easily be accessed without having to expand the track. This could be made width-dependent of course.

Can reaper's Walter system allow the tcp layout to change to just a vertical name and vertical meter if the tcp gets reduced to really small horizontally? Just thinking of a mode for maximum arrange area but still without completely loosing you place due to no track names
This idea comes from the fact that we can now double click the tcp edge to hide it but if you then grab the hidden edge you can pull it out a bit (to hopefully reveal vertical names and meters) and it will remember this state everytime you double click it
Hope that Makes sense!

Amazing stuff, a couple requests: any chance to have thinner fader + meter in mixer (I saw the narrow layouts, but I don't find such a combination) and level/pan readouts in MCP and TCP?
Thank you,

It's a great theme Nick, very nice work. I'll stick to V3 for studiowork though, because it has more controls visible when the tracks are minimized (I like to mix in the TCP, weird, I know).
I might use the big layouts in the MCP for live-mixing though!

I'm not sure, but I think this is the REAPER (Walter) bug, not the theme.

I planed to make a new TCP layout for it (I mean with the FX button on the first row). Stay tuned!
